Logan Village Too Far For Local Children
Yarrabilba parents are putting together a petition to have a skatepark built in the local area.
Parents have raised concerns that the children are spending time building dirt jumps which are constantly being bulldozed down, resulting in the kids becoming disheartened.
Whilst a skatepark is currently being built at Logan Village, the parents say it’s too far and the children “can’t make it there”.
A petition is being prepared for the Logan City Council as the parents say that there’s not enough in the area to promote healthy, active lifestyles for teens.
The parents feel more needs to be done to encourage the youth to spend more time outside.
