Proposed Charging Hub @ Lions Club Facility
The Lions Club of Logan Village is now in discussions with Planet Ark Power and Share EV Fleet for the development of a battery supported charging hub at the Lions Club facility on Wharf Street at Logan Village. The project is in early-stage discussions, it is aiming to provide a hub that can support local businesses to transition to electric vehicles with battery support to assist the local energy grid.
An initial meeting was held today with local councillor Laurie Koranski and head of the Chamber of Business and Commerce, Chyerl Pridham and interested members of the community. It was a very positive discussion where a high-level plan was discussed, including improving the resilience of the Lions Club site to be backed up in case of any power outage, ensuring the facility can always be available for the community support they provide, including as a disaster support centre.
