Not The Label But The Actions! …
“True leadership is about lifting others up and empowering them to succeed.” Principal Belinda Tregea recently addressed students at the Student Leadership Induction at Yarrabilba State Secondary College. In her speech, Ms Tregea reminded students that it is not the label they wear but their actions that will count.
The students chosen for the roles of Indigenous Ambassador, House Captains and College Captains were selected for their character, strengths and commitment to the school. Ms Tregea and Linus Power, MP, congratulated the students and presented them with their badges and certificates.
The young leaders will be a voice for their fellow students and support the principal and staff in achieving the college’s vision. But all students were reminded that each of them can show leadership in their daily lives.
