Logan Village Green To Turn Red!

Chillogan Festival Is Hot And Spicy Fun …

Temperatures will be rising at the fourth Annual Chillogan Chilli Festival turning the Logan Village Green to ‘Red’ on Sunday 20th November, 2022.

From 11am to 7pm, organisers, My Chilli Festival, are planning all manner of hot and spicy fun for Logan families and chilli-heads from all over! “We’re proud to be working with the The Logan Village Community Centre to bring this event to fruition in this beautiful, newly refurbished space, “said organiser, Scarlett Habanero. Logan City Council has again sponsored this event which they see as a much-loved festival for Logan locals.

“Chillogan is the only festival run by a private organiser in Logan City. I love bringing this event to the people of Logan who have always welcomed me so wholeheartedly,” said Habanero. Visit “Hellfire Alley” (all things chilli, including plants), the Afterburn Bar to cool off and relax, take in dance performances and live music by rock duo, Missy Vader and the Dark Force. Patrons can watch brave chilli-heads take on the Four Chilli Challenges on stage. Pony rides, animal nursery, motorcycle and car displays top it all off!

New to the program is a “Hot Moves Skate Comp” hosted by ASCI (Australian Skateboard Community Initiative) and taking place at the brand new skatepark from 6pm, with prizemoney jointly sponsored. Importantly, the food vendors in the Chilli Festival section of the showgrounds will be providing lots of super-hot offerings.

“People come to eat hot, hot chilli or to experience something new, so we will deliver,” said Habanero.

“Of course, there’ll be regular food on offer as well, and don’t forget the special chilli beer and chilli cocktails in the Afterburn Bar !” said Habanero. Five lucky couples will snap up the “VIP Champagne Experience” tickets and get some luxe chilli love.

Guests can also enter their pooches in the ‘Cutest Chilli Dog’ Comp (sponsored by Pets Domain Yarrabilba). Dress up your furry pal in something red or spicy-themed to be in the Chilli Dog Parade. Just turn up beside the stage at the programmed time and get ready for judging!
