Yarrabilba Basketball Association ended an extraordinarily successful season in December. The Under 21 Representative Team, Yarrabilba Yowies, finished their first season undefeated and came out with the GOLD medals – an outstanding effort by players and Coach Travis for their first season ever in the Basketball Queensland SQJBC.

The association includes four clubs: Flagstone Fire, Greenbank Grenades, Logan Village Lakers and Yarrabilba Yowies, and has grown to thirty teams and more than 260 members.
Luke Douglas, General Manager, says YBA will be expanding further in 2022. For the first time they will have a women’s only competition, an under sixteen’s representative team, and a new competition in Beenleigh.

YBA celebrated the year’s end with Junior and Senior Grand Finals. The Junior grand final winners were Logan Village Lakers, Yarrabilba Magic, and Yarrabilba Vipers.

The seniors held a skills challenge, three-point contest, dunk contest, and grand final game. The competition was fierce and the support enthusiastic, as team members cheered each other on. Logan Village Lakers defeated Flagstone Fire to win the grand final.
