Yarrabilba is doing its bit to support Queensland Health’s vaccination roll-out. Logan City Council has agreed to a short-term lease at the Sport and Community Hub on Shaw Street until 15th October giving local families the best opportunity to access this free health service.

The clinic will support Logan Entertainment Centre’s Vaccination Hub which is currently open seven days a week and averaging more than 1,000 vaccinations per day, as well as the newly opened Mt Warren Indoor Sport Centre.

“I encourage everyone to roll up their sleeve and get vaccinated” City Lifestyle Committee Chair and Division 4 Area Councillor Laurie Koranski said.

“My husband and I are both fully vaccinated and my 18 year old children had their first Pfizer vaccination in Yarrabilba last week.”

“The health and wellbeing of our community is a Council priority, and we will continue to support QLD Health where we can.” she said.

Cr Koranski thanked families from her electorate for being vigilant with mask wearing and practicing social distancing.

“We are in this together and we will get through it together!” she said.

The Yarrabilba Sport and Community Hub Vaccination Centre is open to appointments and walk-ins for people aged 12 and over. The Hub is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm daily until Friday 15th October.
