Words Provide Great Perspective

Term 2 has commenced very well at San Damiano College. We commemorated ANZAC Day with a very meaningful ceremony around our flagpole. We were extremely fortunate to have the presence of Major Tim Rowe, currently serving in the ADF, Mrs Judy Alterator, President of the Logan Village RSL Sub Branch, and Mr Gary Alterator, Protocol Officer and Welfare Officer. Their presence and words provided a tremendous perspective on what ANZAC Day means for all of us.
Coming up shortly, we will be participating in the first round of SECA (South East Colleges Association of Sport). In this format, we will be sending our representative teams to play other colleges in a number of sports – Soccer, Theatre Sports, Netball, Volleyball, and Chess.
Good luck to all involved and we hope they have an enjoyable experience. These sports are in addition to our very creditable performances against other colleges in eSports
As we are now into Term 2, thoughts start to turn to the next academic year. We will be commencing 2022 with Year 7 and for the first time Year 8. Enrolments for Year 7 for 2022 are well advanced for this time of year, so if you would like to consider San Damiano College for your child, please don’t hesitate to contact us. The Foundation Principal, Peter Edwards is terrifically friendly and committed to the total education of all children at San Damiano.
If you are considering colleges for 2022, Peter would appreciate the chance to talk to you about the benefits of your child attending our college, and show you around our unique campus. Fees are very reasonable, and they include a laptop.

Students and members of the San Damiano College hold a meaningful first ceremony around the college’s flagpole to commemorate Anzac Day for 2021.
