Five Trained Dance Teachers

Yarrabilba State School is a fast growing school with an even faster growing extra-curricular Performing Arts program. Miss Renz and Miss Sandford, our music and dance teachers are champions for the Performing Arts and this year, we are proud to have both boys and girls involved in nine dance troupes, two choirs and both band and string instrumental programs.
We are also lucky to have five trained dance teachers on staff and welcome Mrs Ruby Johnson and Mrs Rebecca Stephenson in 2021 to grow our instrumental programs.

Our students can participate in our extra-curricular Performing Arts program from the beginning with junior dance troupes and choir for Prep to Year 2, followed by strings from Year 3, band from Year 4, senior choir and multiple dance troupes all the way through to Year 6.
Unfortunately, due to COVID last year, our choirs, band and dance troupes were only able to perform at our modified end of year YSS Spectacular but we are looking forward to performing at upcoming eisteddfods, for our families and out and about in the community, particularly at the Yarrabilba Christmas Carols.
