Defenders For Hope was set up to recognise domestic violence coalition, organisations and allied groups. Through their public policy, communications and capacity-building efforts, they align prevention and intervention strategies to advance social change. Defenders for Hope can assist victims and survivors of domestic violence with finding local programs who may be able to provide assistance. They are dedicated to bringing awareness and assistant programs to our local community.

They are available during business hours, Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4pm located at the OP SHOP, Unit 6 /10 Industrial Avenue, Logan Village. On Saturday 21st August several members from Rotaract Club of Scenic Rim spent the morning assisting Defenders for Hope with the packing of emergency backpacks for children aged 2-10 that have been affected by domestic violence.

The Rotaract Club of Scenic Rim is a young group of passionate, like-minded individuals that come together to enjoy fellowship, and engage in a wide range of activities including social, professional, and community events.
Rotaract is a global organisation that empowers students and young professionals to create positive and lasting change in themselves, their local community, and around the world.

From partnerships with YFS and other organisations and from our own client donations of new items at the OP SHOP, we are able to pack donated items for families. We currently need donations of new items for preparing future packs for those affected by domestic violence.
