Village Fair & YFS Unite For Christmas
Village Fair Shopping Centre have partnered once again with YFS for a Christmas Donation Drive to support the local community who may need a
helping hand.
Anna-Maree Coco, Senior Asset Manager with First Asset Management said,
‘Last year we were blown away with the donations, with over 150 bags filled with personal care items, back to school stationery and grocery products donated by our amazing customers.’
The donations went directly to YFS who were able to distribute the many packs to community members in need.
‘The care and thought that went into the donations was heart-warming, with many bags containing grocery items to make a meal for the family,’ Coco added.
‘The choice of partner again this year was easy. What better way to support the local community than with YFS, who have been part of the fabric of this amazing community for over 38 years. We know all the donations will go directly to local community member who are disadvantaged, vulnerable or want to improve their circumstance.’ Coco said.
Lending a hand is easy. Simply pick up a bag from the display located outside Drakes Supermarket. There is a list on the bag outlining the types of items that can be donated. These items include personal care, laundry items, school supplies and the all-important Festive Fare products. Once filled place the bag in the donation box.
These items will be distributed by YFS to community members who have been identified as being in need. These could be escaping domestic and family violence, be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, living below the poverty line or finding the pressure of life too challenging.
