Logan City Council has sworn in its newely elected Council consisting of six men and seven women.
The ceremony, held at the Logan Entertainment Centre on 21 April, was a quiet affair with strict adherence to COVID-19 restrictions.
During the swearing in, Mrs Laurie Koranski addressed the new Council thanking her band of campaign volunteers and the Division 4 community for her re-election.
“Thank you for once again entrusting me to be the eyes and ears of our electorate and your voice in Council” she said.
“I was incredibly proud to represent our area between 2016 and 2019 and I welcome the opportunity to once again work hand in hand with our community to further opportunities for Division 4 and the City of Logan”.
Councillor Koranski shared with Mayor Power and her fellow Councillors her aspirations for the coming term.

“I am proud to be part of this incredible cohort and I am looking forward to the journey ahead” she said.
“My hope for the coming term is that we face challenges and embrace opportunities together”.
“Together, may we build a mutually supportive environment where we become the sum of strengths in serving the people of Logan” she said.
Councillor Koranski, Mayor Power and the remaining Councillors are currently undergoing induction training.
